This was a inter view with my grandpa that he shared with me about WW2

I recently interviewed my grandfather over the weekend. He use to work intelligence for the the United State Army. Ever since I was little he never could tell me what he did for the army all he said he was a airborne electrician and he just fixed electrix problems during WW2. I have recently learned that my grandfather was a Intelligence personnel he use to spy on the enemy with the latest technology they had. He told me they were working on video camera surveillance from there airplanes and started to learn more of it but because the technology wasn’t as good as todays. He also told me that the uniforms were very uncomfortable that he had no movability and air flow. just hard for him to do anything in it. I have asked him on what he thinks about the changes in the military and all he told me was that the military was getting a little soft. That we rely on the technology more than what he had to do in WW2.

Hey welcome to my blog to day I am showing you the uniform and weapon difference between a WW2 U.S solider and a Modern Day U.S soldier. below is a picture of the two Soldiers One from WW2 the other is modern day.

See how the WW2 has just plain olive green no camouflage really to it just plain. the helmet is more like a bowl, no Bulletproof vest and uncomfortable boots called gator boots.

Modern day soldier has more of a digital camo green and tan look, there is a Bulletproof vest that holds multiple mags for the M4A1, the Helmet is more head fitting, and bulletproof, the boots are more comfortable, more breathable and weatherproof.

Change from M1 Grand to M4A1

This post is about how the change of technology and how we went form shooting a M1 Grand rifle to a M4A1 light assault rifle. The M1 Grand was the stander rifle for the U.S Military during WW2 it was the first semi fired rifle used during that time No other country had a semi fast rifle there used pretty much blot action rifles. The M1 shot a 30-06 caliber round very powerful and could shoot up to 1000 yards if shot correctly. Now we started making changes to the rifle during the Vietnam war it was the M16 witch shot rapid fire 223 or 556 NATO round which is smaller but can shoot further and pretty much better rate of fire and very light wight. From there we Made the M4A1 which shoots the same as the M16 but even more light wight and very tactical we made this during Afghanistan war.
